This installation produced 434KW in September 2011—that is 20% more than other comparable Solar PV plants listed in http://www.sunnyportal.com/Templates/PublicPagesPlantList.aspx in the south of England with south facing roofs.
We also have a further 3.995KW installation in Basildon with a less favourable 10 degree pitch roof using 17x Yingli 235W panels and an SMA 4000TL inverter with an output of 394KW in September 2011.
About Solar Electricity
The electricity generated by the solar panels is converted from DC to 240 v. AC by an inverter and connected to your consumer unit. The electricity flows to wherever it is needed in your household. When there is more electricity being generated than is needed, it will flow out through a meter into the grid and can then be sold on to a number of electricity supply companies.
